Bit of a relaunch... hope you like the new colours,

Bit of a season turn with the passing of the autumn equinox.

It's baltic.

But there are fires.

So.. Year 2 of our urbanmonk's training scheme is complete.*
Monk scrapes through with life still intact. For certain he needs more training, but bears in mind it is fortunately not only graduates who can make a contribution.
Year 2 was one of the richest fullest years of his life so far. Thank you all.
Year 3 beckons; he's not bailing now. Was last seen looking for a photocopier holding a small scrap of paper which reads:

INVITED:
Monks and pilgrims of the world, especially those who like vans, especially those who enjoy purposeful wandering.
To participate in a practical project exploring the role and contribution of pilgrimage and contemporary monasticism in the present and future societies of Europe.

For all and any enquiries contact: ...

This could be dangerous.
Does he need stopped?
Does it need reworded?

* Year 1 was summarised on Sept 30th 2003 post on this blog.
Year 2 is in some way recorded on the rest of this blog.

"when religion is characterised by sameness, when faith is franchised, when the genuineness of our experience with God is evaluated by its similarities to others' faith, then the uniqueness of [being a child of God] is lost." (mike yaconelli)

And we gotta help eachother, we're in this thing together: life. There is something each of us can learn from every other person (if we're good enough learners). If we keep it to ourselves, always assuming that others will not appreciate the treasures we carry. Then everybody suffers.
?

today i have been mostly surfing and getting a tan.
