noticed that all my jobs let me drink tea, sit with my feet up (a bit) and check my email (sometimes).
'they' deleted all the comments (the best part of my blog) from the first 5months. not impressed.
some people think blogs are an online cry for help.

played word non-association again the other day. Best played fairly non-competetivly, but you can gain prestige by consistantly bringing in words that have the least possible link with any other words previously used.

mental day. me and a buddhist friend defended chaplaincy from an ex satanist christian wanting to put up anti islamic posters. RP texted me: "typical".
Yesterday we had 27 Swedish 16-17yr olds in a choir singing abba songs. I made a lot of soup. Met a guy from 24-7 Sverige. Took them on a tour and sneaked them all into the McEwan Hall all laid out for the exam happnin 20mins later. I did my talk on hope in there.
sunbathed on the roof today.
ZOOM OUT ZOOM OUT ZOOM OUT ZOOM OUT ZOOM ZOOM OUT OUT
maybe us all being tolerant, moderate, tax paying, 'sane', people is not the answer.
cant find any people who will really answer my question: 'so what is life about?'.
I have a lot to learn.

things to do on a saturday:
go dancing in womenswear department of Jenners department store where 2 of friends have got a 4hour DJ set.
sit in house of mirrors, taste infinity and see if u can handle the power. eat fry up there.
sleep on the meadows. get hit twice in an hour by seagull.
go to vespers (evening prayers) at the local orthodox church. have long chat with the elderly bearded rebel 26yr old Greek monk: Father Anastasis.
narrowly miss going to a eurovision party...
drink tea.
get given smackedit curry.
was gonna go and have a pint in the enchanted world but it's not always there.
went to a cafe.
..and then to the famous Sandy Bells.
off to beach....

there really are some amazing people in this world.
there really are.
really are.
played guitar.
my legs hurt.
sippin lagavulin 16yrs.
deciding that: 'most good moments are better unrecorded', is not good for blogging.
"NOSTALGIA IS A WEAPON." (D.Coupland)
"live in the NOW!" (Wayne).
but past + future are needed to find full meaning in the present.
otherwise it would be like trying to read the this word:
"atmospheric"
whilst looking only at the letter "t" without taking into account that there was a letter "a" in the past, and a "mospheric" in the future. This makes life make less sense.
"on my way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get..? how to get to..?"

i have been contemplating blogs. I want to welcome to the site any prospective employers, secret police, stalkers, target marketers, etc. It is my personal preference that you don't read my blog but as you know, I cant stop you. I can just remain safe in the knowledge that you dont really know me at all; and even if you track my phone you will still get confused.
I would definitly like to warmly welcome any old friends, new friends, fellow monks, or if you've just stumbled across here whilst out surfing. If you are in an office, get some more plants for it.
I have wondered if blogs are just a bad idea and if we are giving our precious words for free to blogger owned by google soon to be floated on the US stock exchange and bought by.. (Microsoft? Monsanto? Nestle? BAE?).
But maybe if no one had ever published a book then everyone could still stay safely fortified in their individualised isolated closed-minded personal private worlds; and then we'd all be happyER??
To blog is to risk. But I reckon the more colour we recklessly fling into the spectacular mess that is the swirling world of post-secular global communications culture, the brighter it may become, and the harder it is to control.
Things being harder to control is ultimately in our favour in the fight against invisible oppressors.
Thought for the day: MUD IS REAL.
